A letter to the best wedding creators in the world by Josh Withers
Bridget Ann Henisch in Fast and Feast wrote:
It is the nature of man to build the most complicated cage of rules and regulations in which to trap himself, and then, with equal ingenuity and zest, to bend his brain to the problem of wriggling triumphantly out again. Lent was a challenge; the game was to ferret out the loopholes.
Henisch is writing about the rules and regulations we've built up about food and eating. I can personally attest to the physical freedom you can find in fasting, I'm fasting about 16 hours a day when I can, and it took me a few years to mentally capture but now I'm doing it I love it.
I'm finding those loopholes in the complex web of rules and regulations we or I have made for myself.
It's not just food, it's in our businesses and lives too. We make up all these arbitrary rules and regulations and most people never ferret out the loopholes.
Be the ferret.
