A letter to the best wedding creators in the world by Josh Withers
Mark Twain wrote “the man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read” which is not only true for reading, but for all exercises of intellectual betterment. Reading, writing, exercise, training, being mentored or coached, education, professional development, research, and learning.
Maybe you don’t want or need an advantage in your officiant or celebrant practice. But for me and my house, I can read the tea leaves, I can read the room, I see (and welcome) the new celebrants entering the Australian wedding market every week, and I know I need to be better, so I read and I dedicate hours each week to betterment.
I spent an entire day this past week with one of your colleagues. A smart, intelligent, young and nimble wedding celebrant who sought a day of intensive coaching to ensure their business was on the right track, with a plan to achieve and exceed their financial and life goals.
That celebrant has a major advantage over you if you spent Thursday watching Netflix.
