A letter to the best wedding creators in the world by Josh Withers
A comedian I follow on Threads recently posted:
Wedding vendors are so unhinged.
Me: "I'd like to rent a photo booth. Could I see pictures of the booths you have, see what the printed strip of pictures looks like, and get pricing?"
Them: "Go to my website filled with picture of people who have used the booth. There are no pictures of the booths themselves or the strips. There's also no pricing. Many of the links are broken. And you already have been to my website, or I wouldn't get this message. When will you be signing the contract?"
He's not wrong. Most of our websites are terrible. Most celebrant and officiant websites don't answer the basic questions like what their name is and where they operate.
A celebrant's website I just looked at had "Description goes here" in multiple places all over their website.
If that celebrant doesn't know how to do it well they should pay someone (like me?) to do it better than they could. It's costing them revenue.
